Returning Boots bath set

Hoping someone can confirm for me!

I received a relatively cheap Boots bath set in our family secret Santa (it was actually quite a bit under the budget we set but never mind!) I’m pregnant and my skin is reacting to everything at the moment, so definitely can’t use it. As pathetic as it might sound, I’m sad. My partner and I are trying to save our money for the baby at the moment and it’s a shame the one present I got, I can’t use!
I obviously don’t have a receipt but it’s all in the original packaging- can I take it back and swap it?!

You'll probs be able to exchange it.

Tygertiger · 30/12/2023 17:19

It’ll be in the sale now so it won’t be worth swapping even if they let you. I’m sorry. One to donate as a raffle prize to the PTA.

GrazingSheep · 30/12/2023 17:20

If it’s in the sale you will only get the sale price. Could you ask the person who gave it to you if they still have the receipt?

PamelaParis · 30/12/2023 17:21

I wouldn't even bother to try and return it. Just donate it somewhere.

Thanks for the replies. PTA is a great idea - it has gone into the sale for a tenner now. I’m not supposed to know who the ‘secret’ Santa is but have worked it out. They might be a bit ashamed to give the receipt as it will reveal how much they underspent by!
