I have been dating someone almost 2 years now. He's been stingy from the beginning and am sure he has Aspergers. He's taken me to the cinema 4 times but mostly I cook a meal on the Sunday and I go to his during the week for a meal I've shown him how to make. He goes on holidays on his own and concerts but invites me along. I have to pay everything myself . He is a maths lecturer ...in his 50's ...no children...never married.
This Xmas he gave me a roll of binbags and 2 paint brushes and some breadsticks he's been stockpiling...oh and a box of teabags. I am so upset...I always buy him thoughtful nice gifts . Once he gave me biscuits from a hotel he'd stayed in as a present ! They were also out of date !! Am I being mean expecting too much? I feel this is the last straw

That's not a relationship.
Unless he is amazing in bed (or something else amazing 😂) why are you with him?

Are you being serious? I would have chucked the bin bags at him and told him to use them to gather his stuff and get out!!

It sounds joyless. Where's the fun?

He gives you bin bags and teabags for Christmas. You make him a roast every Sunday, he makes you a meal YOU taught him how to cook. You're a girlfriend not an Aunt.

Do you really want another 20 years of this?
