Stockings for adults?

Obviously too late for this year! But I've had a tearful mum on the phone (she'll be with us later in the week) telling me my dad's sisters all do stockings where they sneak little presents in to each others throughout December. Do other people do this? Or if you do adult stockings, how/when? We don't live nearby so would be posting gifts.

I love Christmas planning so just pondering this morning as we wait for the littlest to wake up. 4yo very pateintly waiting on sofa post stocking, eyeing the wrapped gifts 🤣

My mum still does for me and my brother, so I do one for her. Although I didn't take a stocking back so she has a gift box today instead 😆

Adult stockings yes.

BUT only for those in my household on Christmas Eve/Day.

What on earth. Stockings are for children..grow up.

Grow up yourself.

Adults should be able to understand that every family does things differently. As a child I would have found it odd that my parents didn't get one. It was in fact just a good way for my mum and dad to exchange small, useful presents. Just because they are presented in a stocking doesn't make it childish.🤨

We all have stockings here although DP clearly forgot mine this year 🤣 he's gone off to work this morning for a 12 hour shift and mine is empty. Trying to think how I explain that away to the DC
