Making the Nutella Pastry Tree ahead of time?

Hello,

I have posted this in both Christmas and recipes.
I've had this horrendous virus/cold thing and mornings have been an absolute struggle this week for school run/general things to do so.. I'm wanting to make the Nutella pastry Christmas tree for our Christmas Eve breakfast but as mornings have been horrific lately, I wonder if could make this ahead of time, assemble, Nutella on, pop it back in fridge and take out in the morning ready to egg wash and bake.

For anyone that's done this before, will it work?

Thank you very much!

I’m sure that’d be fine. My son made the wreath version last weekend and it puffed up too much. So I’d like to know how the keep it flat!

Well you could.....or given that you're ill, you could go back to bed instead?

Do your family (and you) really value a Nutella pastry tree (whatever the chuffety fuck that is) ahead of a well mum?

The recipe I’m trying said this:
To save time at breakfast, do the prep on Christmas Eve (or the night before you’re going to eat it), then cover it and put it in the fridge.
When you’re ready, brush the egg over and bake as normal. If you’re cooking this straight from the fridge, it may need 3-5 more minutes in the oven.

Thank you very much!! Excellent, I'll get cracking when I'm waiting for my pizza to arrive 😂

I feel absolutely fine by the afternoon and evening but Jesus mornings are a write off!

I did it the night before last year and was great. Plan to do the same this year.
