Ways to gift theatre tickets?

As part of DH’s Christmas present, I’ve got him theatre tickets. They are e tickets though, and I’ve no way of printing them! Does anyone have any creative ideas as to how to present them to him?

What show are they for? That may help with ideas

Etsy have templates for vouchers you can purchase and add details to and then print off. They have them in the style of theater tickets, flight tickets etc.

Is the show already running? When I did this for my sister I bought a programme and wrapped that. But only works if the show has started and cast isn’t due to change.

Good point! It’s for The Woman in Black.

and I love the Etsy idea but I’m not able to access a printer 😫

Buy the book or some merch and explain when he unwraps it. Go to your local library or print shop and ask them to print off the Etsy printables. You can print straight from your phone at my library

Give a lovely Christmas card and draw a picture of the ticket inside 💞

I bought some really nice gift envelopes from Amazon. They have quite a big selection

Redshoeblueshoe · 21/12/2023 10:47

When I have done this I've just drawn a picture of the show/band and written the details on it

I put stupid cryptic clues in a box and make him guess! So I. This case i might try and find a picture of a woman in black in a magazine and cut it out, plus add E.g. a tube map symbol (if it's in London), some popcorn (not strictly theatre but it implies watching something) and so on.

I would literally draw him a a picture of a few women in different coloured putfits and then one in a black outfit with an arrow pointing to that. I Would put that in an envelope saying "catchphrase" and on the back of the envelope "just say what you see" :)

Soozikinzii · 21/12/2023 11:17

I've done this a few times . I've just searched google for a free customisable ticket template then changed it . I see the printer issue but you could print it at the library or someone could print it for you ?

Can you suggest something as awesome as this for tickets to Aladdin the musical?!

I tried so hard to think of a catchphrase for "a lad in" and "a lad out"... maybe like 2 houses, q with a boy in the window, on his tshirt it says lad.
And the other house the boy is outside of the house. Or you could do an in and out (entrance/exit). In the side with the In you could have lots of girls. And then one "lad" with an arrow pointing to him?

Alternatively have you heard of scratchcard paint? Or I'm even sure this could work with aluminium foil like an advent calendar but basically you could make a lamp shape and get the recipient to "rub the lamp" to unlock the wish :)

lazysundaymorningcoffee · 22/12/2023 06:59

@Bumblebeesince19 legend. No matter how long I stared at 'Aladdin' I just couldn't come up with a catchphrase but a lad in seems so obvious now you've said it!

I wasn't very creative! I've got Mean girls tickets for my daughters and just bought those money cards from a Hallmark! I did see online that I could buy some specially made cards but they would have cost about £5 each but my money wallets were £0.49 each!

Local library or stationary shop to print and just put in a card
