ALDI - what do you recommend?

Off to Aldi tomorrow for stuff to make hampers, and some extras for me. What do you suggest?

Marzipan and praline bar. Heaven.

Their fake Toblerone is quite nice.

The boxes of chocolate elves. Delicious.

The bags of Lebkuchen, soft gingerbread covered in icing or chocolate. They’re about £2.50

Floentines are pretty good and they have these Ferrero Roche type chocs that are nice.

They have little tins of Danish biscuits too.

Yes, I’ve had the danish biscuits. The tin is so cute! I think I’ve seen that they do a chocolate version too.

I watch a YouTuber who recommends the pork casserole kit from the fridge, if anyone is interested.

I second the lebkuchen (although I only really like the white ones, not the chocolate ones) and Danish butter cookies. The stollen bites are also delicious.

My kids prefer the chocolate Lebkuchen and I prefer the iced ones. It’s synergy in baked goods.

Frangipane topped mince pies

I was disappointed with the offerings in my Aldi this year but if yours has them (mine didn’t) I love the frangipane mince pies

Mini Hash Brown Potato Waffles (in the freezer section). My favourite potato product at any time of year, they go PERFECTLY crunchy.

Oooh I haven't seen those yet this year abd I always try to get a tin. My granny always had them at Christmas. I have ti drive past Aldi tomorrow too 😀

You couldn't put them in a hamper, but the skin on skinny fries are really good

I bought the frangipane topped mince pies last week - I’m not a big mince pie fan but I don’t know what’s happened…they’re all gone 😳
