Uneven sizes

Found dd the perfect Santa present (they get a stocking plus one each), when it arrived it looks rather big and impressive. I've scoured for a similar present for ds, ordered something totally different but a similar size, however nowhere near impressive. So went for toy that does similar stuff instead but it's arrived a quarter of the size. They are pet type toys one wants a dog one wants a cat. Cats are much harder to find! My ideas so far are to buy a cat cave bed to wrap it in as DDs comes with a kennel. I could also buy a second cat to wrap them together but then DD will probably feel hard done by. DP says I shouldn't worry but I'm massively worried DS will lose his faith in Santa. DS is five years younger than DD. What could I do?

Every time I make icing I end up with more than I need (hear me out, I have a point honestly!).

Start by sieving the icing sugar into a bowl. Add water. But a bit too much. Add more sugar to try and thicken but go too far so add more water. Add food colouring but it's too much and so too dark so more sugar and water needed. In the end a massive bowlful for half a dozen fairy cakes. It's Too Much.

Don't try and even things out because you'll go too far. Cats are smaller than dogs anyway Xmas Wink

Thank you. I've really gone overboard this year. I can't take most back because most of it was bought a month or more ago. I need to remember this for next year though as I really felt last year we had plenty and it was probably half as much as this year.
