Hi,

I'm considering purchasing a fitbit Ace 3 for my kids. Are there any alternatives which people recommend? Fitbit seem to have cornered the market.

What functionality do you want?

And do your DC actually want this as a present (they seem v young to want fitness data)

@NaiceViper it's not "fitness data" in the way the adult trackers do calories and performance. It's just steps and you can set challenges which personally I'd say is far preferable to wanting computer games!
The Fitbit Ace or Garmin kids one seem to be the front runners in this market. I preferred the style of the fitbit one, it looks neater for small wrists.

@NotFastButFurious its more the step thing. There are kids in their classwa with Apple watches. I dont want to go down that route plus mine are sporty and like the idea of doing lots of steps. I looked at one of the fitbits but the cheaper one is a basic adult one, and from what ive read, you cant set up any kids profile on it so see your stats. The garmin just doesnt seem to look very stylish

I've ordered my 9yo a tikkers watch which was recommended to me by a friend

I recently got my DS11 a Fitbit Ace 3 just to keep the time for school, and chose it specifically as he has tiny wrists. I wasn't sure he'd wear it or like it as he's said in the past he doesn't like the feel of watches, but he's worn it every day and is happy with how it feels on his wrist. Only about £50 as well which is good.

I know this is an old thread but thought I'd ask here anyway.
I was thinking about the Fitbit Ace for my 8yo. He currently uses a hand me down kids Garmin.

DH and I both use Samsung step counts, it there a way to include the fitbit and Samsungs to compare who's done the most steps?
