Hi, looking for some inspiration for a gift for MIL.
She doesn't have any particular interests, I've bought all sorts over the years and she accepts all gifts graciously but I'm out of ideas.
In previous years I've bought handbags, perfume, dressing gowns, uggs, slippers, gift sets, and candles. And I've never seen her use any of it and she hasn't mentioned it again. She doesn't agree with money or vouchers as presents so not an option.
Budget is roughly £100 can be more or less.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated, would love to get someone she might actually use 🤣

What about a nice picture of you and your OH and DC if you have any?

Failing that does she use something all the time like a favourite item of clothing or a favourite food item?

If not I would try and upgrade something she already has.

Slow cooker or air fryer
DAB radio (we’ve bought my DM one of the Cath Kidston Quest radios, but Quest also does Laura Ashley, Emma Bridgewater and Joules designs)
Bird table
Set of two picnic/camping chairs and a picnic dinner set
Croquet set

Ask her directly!

There are so many threads like this where people are struggling for ideas ... does she even want a present? My DM has categorically stated she doesn't want any more 'stuff' in her life ... and I have just helped her sort out 25+ years of framed photos of grandchildren so photos are not always such a great idea!

We now go out for a meal together to celebrate.

Alternatively, a good suggestion on here the other day is to model your gift to her on what she gives you ... if she gives slippers - choose slippers for example.

Take her for a festive afternoon tea or failing that ask what she’d like otherwise you could be wasting more money .
