If you were going to another house for Christmas breakfast (then home/onto another destination for dinner) what would you like to eat?

And are there any little extras I could include?

I really wouldn't go to mad. What time will they be eating dinner or lunch? What time will they get to you?

We have frozen pastries and a fruit salad, and the obligatory chocolate.

Bolloxforsure · 12/12/2023 18:34

I’d like a smoked salmon and cream
cheese bagel and a Bloody Mary.

Comedycook · 12/12/2023 18:35

Bacon sandwiches and a bucks fuzz

A lot depends on timings. If they only have a short window between breakfast and next meal keep it light -pastries and fruit maybe. If they aren't eating again until much later maybe do plates of sausage, bacon, eggs. Ask them what they would like

We do a tray of bacon and sausage with hot fresh rolls. Bucks fizz and orange juice and more exotic juices.
We eat during and after the presents but dinner is around 5.

Regardless of the size of the breakfast, I think going all out on the drinks is the best thing as it wont spoil appetites.

Freshly squeezed clementine juice (buy a box of the ones with the leaves etc still on - looks so festive!), a lovely pot of coffee or a proper pot of loose leaf tea.

A bit of bubbly on hand for the non-drivers too is always great to top up the juice.

We do pastries too and bucks fizz. This year we are doing croissants and cinnamon buns.

Taptap2 · 12/12/2023 18:44

Homemade cinnamon rolls, smoked salmon bagels and bacon butties - if a late lunch

maddiemookins16mum · 12/12/2023 18:44

Pancakes and maple syrup please or cinnamon buns/rolls and lovely coffee.

MintJulia · 12/12/2023 18:51

I offer two choices

Warm pastries or home made apple bread or possibly pancakes for any children, with fresh fruit or berries.

Smoked salmon & scrambled eggs on wholemeal toast

Lovely ideas. Freshly squeezed clementine juice sounds lush
