Tree alternative please

Can anyone help? I don't want a tree, I want something really minimal. But nice and arty looking that I can put some decorations on.
Back when I had a garden I'd cut off a piece of bush and spray it white.
But I haven't got a garden

We used to have a big umbrella plant that we decorated.

• Use an indoor plant and decorate that
• Get a vase and those twigs which are covered in glitter and decorate
• Make a 'tree' from lights like in the pics

Thank you everyone for your great ideas. In the end I took my secateurs to some open land (not a park) and got my own twig. Have just put it in a pot full of polyfilla and will decorate.
Funnily enough, I have no houseplants. I used to, including an enormous cheese plant, then chucked them all out.

I've just seen a social media post of someone who has a Lego Eiffel Tower decorated as a Christmas tree.
