How many LEDs for a 6ft tree?

How many do you have on yours? For years I've just been chucking a couple of old sets on but they've given up the ghost this year. I want:

Magical twinkling (no flashing)
Warm white
Not the cluster ones
Just enough for the tree to look merry and bright (a couple of years ago I bought 720 copper coloured led ones but it was too much and too bright so they are now outside)

The Internet gives varying advice between 300 and 1000 which is hugely unhelpful!

Bonus points for any pictures to help me decide 🙂

I like the Argos LED lights. I have 2 x 480 lights on a 7ft but I like a lot of lights.

On a 6ft, you could get 480 + 240 set. Two lots of 480 may be a bit much.

We have a 6ft narrow tree, and on it are two sets of lights, one of 200 and the other 100. So I'd suggest for a normal width tree you'd need 400-500ish.

It’s recommended 100 lights per foot of tree. Mine is 7ft and I have 800 lights x

I think the guidance is 100 per foot of tree. We have 1000 on a 7ft tree generally and I don't think it's too much.

Thanks all! Argos do same day delivery so I've gone for 2 sets, 1 of 480 + 1 of 200 as suggested by @yoshiblue. I can always return the 200 if the 480 feels like enough

We have a 7-8ft tree and set of 750 and a set of 500. Doesn’t look too many at all!

Bugger, I had same problem last year, looked like bloody Blackpool so bought some warm white static today but only 200. Wish I'd read this beforehand

I have a six foot tree that's not really six foot (from b&m) and I have 200. I think it's a very merry looking tree but after reading this I'm not sure 🤔
