I'm stuck!

She doesn't know what she wants. Ive no idea what to get her. I have small gifts and in-laws have bought her jewellery. Need a main present around £100! She has had her bday today and got perfume and gym shark leggings and cinema trip. All ideas for Xmas welcomed!

This is the one dd really wanted but it’s from the states and I’ve left it too late for delivery so I have got this one instead (hoping she won’t think it’s too much of a cheaper version 🤞)

Monday is the brand name and the Sunday shampoo is by Bumble and Bumble.

Mine loves musicals, so last year I got her tickets for a west end show she wanted to see. Then I went on redbubble.com and bought a cushion cover for the show and wrapped the tickets up in the cover.

Glossier skin care
Bershka voucher to spend in sales
PJs

AgnesNaismith · 09/12/2023 06:40

@imnotthatkindofmum netball? A crazy catch rebound net and some crocs and gain the edge socks for training. Or personalised ASICS?

shearwater2 · 09/12/2023 06:42

LOL my DD2 (14) gives me a list. But I also get her a few things to surprise her. Great thread, I'm going to bookmark it.

I still get my two a selection box each - they are 18 and 14.

PieAndLattes · 09/12/2023 06:44

My DD loves doing her nails so I’ve bought her a ‘good’ nail kit.

Mylee Complete Professional Gel Nail Polish LED Lamp Kit, 4x MYGEL Colours, Top & Base Coat, Mylee PRO Salon Series Convex Curing® LED Lamp, Prep & Wipe, Gel Remover (Black Lamp) https://amzn.eu/d/08nH2Te

Its expensive for what it is but it has excellent reviews and she’ll get a lot of use from it.

I have this one for me. Unfortunately my 15 year old is a biter (of nails!) but reminded me to get some gel polish for my 16 year old!

Actually crocs not a bad shout, she has normal ones but I could get fleece lined.

This is cute, I've got a joint present to see blood brothers for 3 of us. And a family ticket to button house (ghosts) so excited for both!

Don’t know if your daughter’s school allows this, but I think many girls take their books in Longchamp bags now.

I think it’s just £10/£15 off your price bracket.

Picklemeyellow · 08/12/2023 20:37

Well, this is from my dd15 list (and she won’t be getting them all as some are ridiculously expensive),

white noise machine (to help her get to sleep)
Asda Guinea pig hot water bottle
Bumble and Bumble Sunday shampoo
Monday shampoo and conditioner
Anything by Sol de janeiro
Any Ariana Grande perfume
Calvin Klein underwear
Named Collective hoodie and joggers (I will not be purchasing this expensive tatt lol)
White Fox hoodie
Nike fleece tech hoodie
Stussy hoodie
(think it’s apparent dd has a penchant for hoodies)
Anything from Hidden Cult (btw, until this list came my way I’d not heard of 99% of these brands)

Oh and I’ve bought her a spinning sunflower necklace, similar to one she had seen on Tik Tok.

Edited

This is a nice list. I've asked my mum to get Arianna grande perfume. I think I've given away too many ideas to other family 🤦🏻‍♀️

So many great ideas, thanks so much. The problem is with her bday being so close to Xmas and then no ideas from her!

I think I'm going for comfort with the teddy cushion and crocs. Love some of the brands mentioned here though, really useful for others!

The trouble is i think dd likes the idea of a lot of make up, skin care, hair but in reality would prefer just a few bits.

Btw for anyone looking for ideas I got her a small "The Ordinary" gift set for her bday from her younger sister and she loved it!

My DS is the same this year, doesn't have a list at all & I'm trying to resist getting things for the sake of it, whilst still making sure he has something nice to open on the day. Particularly because his DB had a long list of ideas for me to pick from this year.

I'm going with practical things that are a bit nicer than usual, so he has a school trip next year- I'm getting him a new suitcase (because he needs one) and putting some of the currency for that country & a top suitable to wear whilst away inside it.

His dressing gown is looking super tatty & short, so he's also getting a nice new one.

Then some stocking fillers. It's not loads & he's not getting anything particularly wow or exciting, but I'm really trying to reduce waste, so not buying just for the sake of it.

2023usernameNew · 09/12/2023 08:34

I think also for a stocking present they like the flavoured Hismile toothpaste (available at boots and Superdrug)

Wow this must be a local thing as I work in a secondary and not seen any of these! Maybe after Xmas they'll all have one!

There’s a hollywood mirror on Amazon. Has Bluetooth, speakers and charger. All dd’s friends are getting it apparently! Search Hansong mirror.

A driving lesson at somewhere that takes under 16s? https://www.mercedes-benzworld.co.uk/

This y is a a great idea. Will most likely do it for her 16th next December. Her elder sister is almost 17 , ASD and very anxious. I don't want dd to be better at driving than her sister before she's even started. She inevitably will be as she's good at everything. My poor eldest! But yes a definite for next year!

Tickets to one of the music bands she likes as long as within the budget and not to far away or Ticketmaster voucher for her to decide. As it creates memories that last a lifetime where a present might not. Been our teen girls gifts a few times now and it’s what they talk about the lovely time they had xx

Radom · 09/12/2023 14:59

Or a surprise hit last year with one of ours was a record player and vinyls mind they are expensive but she buys them herself now and also puts of gift list for family etc xx
