Just being nosey/ looking for inspiration!

Just got back from centre parcs (which was so lovely and festive but also £££) so trying to come up with some festive activities that don't cost the earth for DS 3.

We've booked a santas grotto at a Christmas tree farm local to us which cost £15

Baking ginger bread men and mince pies

Our local area has a walk trail with lots of Christmas lights so we'll be doing that one evening

We live near a trago mills which does a great Christmas train ride which only costs £10 for all 3 of us.

Lots of movie nights watching Christmas movies with mince pies 🥧

DD normally has a play but this year we booked Leeds Castle before she joined a new theatre group so she is not participating.
Drinks with neighbours
Making Marzipan
Making a Gingerbread House
Baking mince pies
Baking cookies

I made an activity advent calendar for DS5 which included things like:
Christmas colouring
Hot chocolate station
bake and decorate cookies
Thank your teachers for helping you learn your songs for the school play

We did breakfast with Santa yesterday.
I had a free ticket entry to national trust so used that today to visit their Christmas event.
Have the panto booked for Christmas Eve for the first time so really excited.

Was going to go see the free Santa this weekend but our child brought the gift of plague home from school this week... hopefully we will have recovered and catch it next weekend.

Got xmas photos booked and Panto on xmas eve.

I think you’re local to me.
The toddler weekaday sessions of iBounce are cheap and cheerful and good for burning off energy when the weather’s bad.
Garden centre to look at the lights. If there’s a pet centre that’s extra entertainment value.
We went on a Christmas train of lights this weekend. 2yo DD was just as thrilled with the brass band in the atrium of Morrisons.
