Christmas Day timetable

We are hosting a big family gathering Christmas for the first time and are merging two family Christmases into one. I was just looking for ideas and inspiration for how people time their day!

To factor in, we have stockings, Church, a walk, the King's speech, present opening and food for 4 under 6's which needs to ideally be at 12pm and 5pm.

How do you time your day?!

This surely depends on what church service you are going to and when/if you’re having a big Christmas meal.

With under 6s I’d do stockings as soon as they wake up (and I wouldn’t make them wait for others to be awake) and then other presents once everyone is up/showered/breakfasted otherwise it’s all you’ll hear about all morning.

Our day with 3 under 7s will be
stockings
breakfast
family arrive
presents
lunch
walk
a couple more presents that have been held back
tv
buffet tea for kids
bedtime
buffet tea for adults
