I'm after some ideas of what to feed my household (2A/3C) on Christmas Eve, instead of the takeaway that we usually get but I never seem to enjoy 🤔

And for NYE when we've got friends coming (there'll be 4A/5C).

I've had a little look online but inspiration hasn't struck yet...

Any suggestions much appreciated 😁

We do German-style Christmas with presents and the first lighting of the tree after dusk on Christmas eve. Then the traditional simple supper of potato salad, wieners and lamb lettuce salad. The main Christmas dinner on the 25th so things are nicely spread out.

@sprigatito I love the idea of afternoon tea!

@TotalOverhaul any chance you’d share your spaghetti bol recipe?

The veggie one is this Waitrose one

The spag bol meat one I used to do is just my own!

The kids have their usual pasta with salad and garlic bread and DH and I have party food once they're in bed

For NYE, there's only DH and I once the kids are in bed so he usually does steak and chips with a sauce, scallops & veg
