My young DD has asked Santa for one present this year and, typically, it has sold out everywhere! It's advertised on The Entertainer (£13) but there is no stock (I have signed up to receive a notification for when it is back in stock). DD is only 7 and a huge believer in Santa, so I really want to pull this out of the bag for her! I have emailed The Entertainer already to ask when they expect more stock, but does anyone know where I can get one of these toys from? Thank you!Stitch Squishmallow

There's a few on eBay - for £75 🤯 or there is cheaper ones but they are coming from the US

Koalatreats · 30/11/2023 13:55

The one I have linked to is 14 inch £30 - not the same but bigger 😁

SuperLoudPoppingAction · 30/11/2023 13:55

Larger tescos sometimes have a range of squishmallows.

Daffodils234 · 30/11/2023 13:55

Thank you both - this toy seems to be a total rip off, but the only thing DD really wants. I may try and tempt her with a different Stitch toy. The Entertainer got back to me and said they couldn't help as they won't ship from other stores and just to keep an eye out - they seem to be as common as hens' teeth 😫

@spiderlight - thank you - that one would be coming from Florida and could arrive up to the 2nd January. Here I was, thinking I would be clever and give myself plenty of time to buy DC's presents by asking her to write her Santa list early 🙄

Could you get a plain stitch one and give him a little case of accessories including a santa hat? Maybe the Elves thought she would like to dress him up?! Maybe another few hats, clip on bows, superhero cape & mask etc..

PuttingDownRoots · 30/11/2023 14:05

Have you got a Smyths toys near you? They don't put all the squishmallow online but have a massive collection in store

PuttingDownRoots · 30/11/2023 14:06

(Also why is Stitch the "in" thing this year? Its everywhere...)

He really is everywhere! Finding anything with stitch on was really hard when my daughter fell in love with him 12 years ago! I remember paying extortionate amounts on ebay for the soft toys and little figures!

Primark has an insane amount of stitch stuff now! I've just bought another blanket (this one with leroy on!)

Daffodils234 · 30/11/2023 14:10

Thank you@PuttingDownRoots and @SootspriteSearcher - good ideas. I'm not near a Smyths (local one is an hour or so away) but DH works near it once in a while so I can ask him to go in and have a look. Alternatively, I was thinking about getting a plain one and dressing it up - I'm hoping DD won't notice if I have to! I know, I have no idea what the big deal is with Stitch! I don't think my DD has ever watched the film, but she's obsessed with all things Stitch!

Have you tried Asda OP? They had a huge Stitch section at my local one this Morning - I had no idea who it was but seems to be popular!

You could also add a hula skirt as he wears one in the film! She might find it more magical and special to her if she has her own custom stitch no one else has!

We have watched stitch more times than I can count, dd actually wore out the dvds! Even now at 15 dd will watch it as a comfort!

If your dd is obsessed try and get to primark they have so much stitch stuff. The blankets are lovely. Also Asda has some things too.

If you don’t mind second hand there’s this one on Depop.
(Full disclosure my DCs are older so have no idea if they’re the same Stitch!)

ConsistentlyElectrifiedElves · 30/11/2023 14:28

Not sure where you are, but there's one on FB Marketplace in Bromley for £25 - FB link

Ilikeblueberries07 · 30/11/2023 14:29

They have some stitch squishmallows in b&m recently. I haven’t seen the Santa one however there has been stitch with a hula skirt, dressed up as Elvis and one as a pineapple.
My 9 year old is also stitch obsessed!

@Daffodils234 I just checked in my local Entertainer and they had several of these! I've bought one if you'd like me to send it to you? If not, I'm sure my daughter would love it so no harm done.

This is the right one, I think?

StaunchMomma · 30/11/2023 14:38

I'd be tempted to get a plain stitch one then get a local seamstress (family member if you're lucky enough to have a crafty one) to make up a little hat and scarf for it - you can spin it as an 'extra special rare Christmas Stitch'.

StaunchMomma · 30/11/2023 14:39

Oh my days! Just saw the comment before mine - how wonderful are Mumsnetters?! ❤

princefamilypaper · 30/11/2023 14:39

Well done @DuckBushCityLimit what a lovely person you are!!

Brumbies · 30/11/2023 14:42

It's on Amazon

Notthecarwashagain · 30/11/2023 15:31

Aww I love this @DuckBushCityLimit So kind!
A lovely mumsnetter did this for me many years ago with the ‘sold out everywhere’ Mog soft toy.
It made my Christmas!
