Coffee Bean recommendations

I've bought my husband after a lot of dropped hints and bean to cup coffee machine for Christmas so now I'm going to need some beans to go with it. I'd like a maybe a selection so we can try a few and see which we like.
We currently have a nespresso machine. He likes his quite strong and drinks it black whereas I like a nice cappuccino style although I only really have the odd one on the weekend.

Have a look at subscribing to these guys. They post out a different coffee (beans) from small independent producers each month so it's a good way of trying a few different places and coffees whilst supporting small businesses. I've been using them for the past year and the coffee beans I've received have always been excellent (and I'm a horrible coffee snob)

DP is a coffee addict, I bought him a fancy new bean to cup machine for Christmas last year and have ordered various beans from Rave Coffee for him a few times and he's really rated all of them. As stocking fillers this year I've got him the Strong AF Blend, the Chatsworth Blend and this Indian Monsoon Malabar Coffee which sounds great (he drinks his coffee black and likes very dark, strong, chocolatey flavours).

this is the time of year for coffee advent calendars, where you get enough for about 2 cups each of the coffee of the day. You can then get an idea of what you like. Some of them, unfortunately, don't then sell those exact beans as a regular thing, but they can tell you what might be similar. (In fact, every time I find something I like, the place tells me that they aren't getting that exact one again anyway as it was some one-off roast and all of them are different!).

I had Coffee Friend deluxe calendar last year, bought in the post christmas sale, and this year am trying Yawn coffee calednar.
