It's not exactly Christmas, but it feels Christmassy to do this for some reason, so posting here!

Does anyone do book binding as a hobby?

I'd like to learn how to do it from a youtube video and I wondered if anyone could link me to a good kit I can buy.

I want a decent one, but not one that's overpriced for what it is.

I know I can watch through the video and write down each individual item, but I thought it would be more fun to do it with Mumsnet!

I did it years ago. I bought the kit when I was in the US, so no help there, but it was fun. There are some lovely kits on Etsy.
I've been doing some marbling, so maybe I should get back into the book binding so I've something to do with the paper!

There are loads here. I was looking at these the other day as I do a fair bit of book repair but not full binding so was thinking of learning.

I bought that kit linked above, loved it! Really clear picture instructions and you have the tools to make more afterwards, they have the paper packs to make more as well :)

It was the first one on that page, complete starter bookbinding kit for £60. Here's the book I made with the kit

Oh wow that's stunning!
Could you continually keep making more books with the tools in the kit at just the cost of the paper, material cover and thread?
It's quite a big investment- I'd like to be able to make a lot of books for £60.
