Ipod Touch Alternative

Does anyone have any recommendations? DD9 wants to listen to Audible audiobooks, search music on spotify, and take photos with a camera. I don't want her to have a phone yet, but could be persuaded to give her one without a SIM in it if that was the only alternative. Would prefer an android version of an Ipod though iykwim.

Budget is £120 which I feel like should be plenty, but my initial searches suggest otherwise!

Can't just get an old ipod touch as the latest model is no longer supported by the Audible app.

Anyone come across anything that might fit the bill?

Thanks

What about a kindle fire? It’s obviously a bit bigger, but it would do all those things. A lot of the android mp3 players in that budget are… not great. The Sony ones are good but you could buy a decent android phone for the same price (which is well over your budget).

Op there was a thread a month or so ago with similar issue. The best answer is a simless phone or tablet.

An old iPhone without a SIM card is basically an iPod touch I think? I reconfigured and gave my DD my old iPhone 8 to listen to music/podcasts on and added a few games/apps which I authorised through my phone. You can lock down settings, times they can use it etc under family sharing and she can’t add any apps without me agreeing through a link which pops up on my phone.

Thanks everyone. That is the conclusion I am coming to as well.

Does it need to be portable? Or would an Alexa work?

Sorry, missed the photo part!
