How big a your turkey

Do you go for a whole bird or crown? How many will you be feeding and what size?

Crown. Large from tesco. Can't remember the weight range but think it's supposed to feed 10-12. There's 4 adults and 1 toddler, but we like to eat turkey for at least 3 days 🤣

Whole turkey which 'feeds 10-12' here. There are 4 of us, but we really like all the different leftovers recipes in the following days so purposefully always get a much bigger one than we need for the day itself. Anything left on the eve of 27th is portioned up and frozen to be added to curries and stir fries in the coming weeks. We'll have a ham too for the same reason.

Always a bigger one than needed - we like the leftovers. Plus I make stock for proper gravy from the giblets (simmered on Chr. Eve) and on around the 28th/29th we’ll always have a turkey stew with the last scraps and lots of veg, plus stock made from the carcass.

Not much ever gets wasted here.

Biggest I can get. Usually says it feeds 18-20 or something like that.

We will have about 14 of us for dinner, and we like leftovers. 9 of us staying here anyway!

Always a turkey crown and we'll get one that serves 6 to 8 people (for the 4 of us) specifically because we love having leftovers. I do the same with stuffing and roast potatoes and cook double the amount we actually need so I can have easy leftover meals for a couple of days afterwards.

Crown, can't remember how many it says it serves either 8-10 or 10-12. There are 4 adults/teens eating it and some pets that will have some too

I ordered a 4kg boneless turkey crown for 5 people Christmas Day, 5 people Boxing Day and four people for leftovers (probably a curry) the following day.

Turkey is gross. Always get something else.

Got turkey , whole bird - 8kg

Ours arrived yesterday - 3.3kg. The biggest crown we've ever had. Ironically DH has covid so we're down to just us and toddler. 1.1kg of turkey each it is then 😤

My husband collected our turkey on Friday, and it is 7 kg for three of us. I've always got the biggest I can get as we really like it and my husband will eat turkey and chips till the cows come home.
