Horse gift for 2.5yr old?

DD2.5 has said Santa is bringing her a horse for Xmas (he's definitely not ever!).

What horse toy could I get her please?

Already have a rocking horse, schleich horse figures, toy farm with a little stable, duplo horses.

Would really appreciate some ideas please.

Like this sort of thing but best if you can find a local one to visit as then its basically like having a stabled horse without the costs or work (and if she looses interest no problem).

For anyone suggesting lessons or own a pony day, OPs DD is 2.5 therefore likely not covered by any yard insurance. Most reputable places wouldn't do this for any kids under 4 yrs of age. If they do then I would ask to see their insurance!

For that age definitely crafty ponies!

Alternatively a hobby horse or if you have space a rocking horse.

You can get beautiful and very expensive rocking horses but also much cheaper fluffy ones that are great for pre-schoolers. I bought one as a Christmas present for a toddler relative who adored it for years. They now have their own horse and a job working for an international/olympic level rider.

I like this idea. My 3-year-old daughter had a rubber rocking horse. I adore horses, looking at them, feeding them, but I have never ridden them yet. One of my dreams is to have my own horse, I understand that it is quite expensive and responsible, but you can dream) Recently I came across information about the most expensive horses https://thetournamentedge.net/top-5-most-expensive-horse-breeds/. Looks like mom needs it more))

Just coming back to say thanks for all the wonderful ideas. DD still loves horses. We aren't too far from Shepreth actually so will be keeping that one up my sleeve.

I got a Crafty Pony foal, which she plays with from time to time. I think she's still a bit young for it. But I thought it was great and she will grow into it.

Picked up a Tender Leaf wooden stable set at the village fayre which she plays with all the time! She puts her little schleich horses in there too. So that would be my recommendation for any similar age children in retrospect.
