E-Readers for kids?

I’m after some advice. Both DDs want an e-reader for Xmas but I can’t see you can access library ebooks on a Kindle? As they are a closed system.

I want them to access the free books via the library system, I don’t want to be buying from Amazon 24/7! Any ideas on e-readers?

Get a Kobo, I have one and only read library books

Kindle doesn't work with libraries, you need a Kobe for this.

You could first download the library app to your phone/tablet and see what their catalogue is. Buying e-books for children on Amazon is very expensive, new releases are often the same RRP for paperback/hardback. No idea what the Kobe prices are.

Oh thank you! That’s a good price that’s fine £80!

Once you're online with your library you can read magazines and newspapers for free on PressReader on your iPad, phone etc
