Tablets for early teens

Apart from the Samsung Galaxy Tab A8, currently on a Black Friday deal (still well over budget but that's apparently the one they want....), if the young teens want a tablet which only connects to Wifi, to chat to their friends, play bladeball (?) bloxfruits or something along those lines, and connect to a maths and a science App to do some homework, are there any others out there which will do this for them?

Mine have the amazon fire tablets. They are on Black Friday offers at the minute

Thanks for this - we've got 2 Amazon fires from about 7/8 years ago, but we've found that they're quite difficult to manipulate - our toddler now uses them, have they improved over the years? I'm worried they're so tied to Amazon products (although I know Disney + can be downloaded) Jeff Bezos will literally end up living in our sitting room.

We're getting DS a Kindle Fire Max 11 for Christmas and I've had a play around with it and it's comparable with an iPad. It's really superb. I tested out a few games and they play amazingly well. I got the 64gb no ads version in the BF sale for £145.

Previous to that he's had a Kindle Fire 8 which he's currently still using and it still holds up with most things. Only in the last few months has it started lagging with Minecraft and Roblox (hence why we're upgrading).

I think a Max 11 are perfect for pre and early teens. Or even a Kindle Fire 10.
