Meta Quest what do I need to buy?

Looking at the Meta Quest 2, I know I need to buy a better head strap, but is there anything else? I've read something about a battery but I assume it comes with batteries?!

It has a battery but it's recommended to buy an extra battery pack as the battery only last around 2 hours before it needs to be charged.

You don't need anything else really.

Oh I'm guessing this is just a battery pack, so do I need to buy an elite head strap?! It's so confusing!

Don't worry, the meta quest is stand alone so you don't actual need to buy anything extra, it will work fine as is.

This is the strap I have. It comes with a battery.

Oh that's a much better price! So that is more comfortable than the standard strap but also gives us extra battery to last longer??

Kids have being asking for a meta quest. I was looking at the three but far too expensive when they've never used one before but also worrying about getting the 2 and how it compares to the latest one..

@nobrasfot we are just sticking with the 2, it's just dropped in price and looks fab, will get the 3 when the 4 comes out 😂

Quest 2 is still very good. The differences between 2 and 3 are mainly reduced weight, mixed reality ability (only 3 has mixed reality ability) and changes to the controllers.

The battery isn't really necessary. To be honest unless there's lots of people wanting to use it, 2 hours is enough and you can play with the charging wire connected anyway. I can't play comfortably for more than an hour or two because it's quite heavy and puts pressure on your face.
