Functional but beautiful table setting

Looking for MN wisdom please - there’s no shortage of good looking table ideas online but can’t seem to find many with actual food in the middle - ten people, one long table, assorted candle sticks and ways of dangling things from the ceiling. Learnt the hard way to mirror the food at both ends like a fancy bar?

I've never found one I can replicate!

My grandparents was function and beautiful because everything was in silver serving dishes so it went with the decorations! Now I just decorate the centre of the table but serve everything else up from a side board / in the kitchen, then the table just has sauces and gravy on.
