Pre built gingerbread houses - any in shops??

Has anyone seen a fully pre-built gingerbread house in any of the shops? B&M, Aldi etc usually have them, but all I can see are the flat ones you build yourself. If you’ve seen one, please do let me know.

If there really are none available, would anyone recommend a particular flat pack one? From my experience, they usually collapse (could be the builder, as opposed to the tools 🤦‍♀️😂)

Dr Oetker's edible baking glue is amazing. I use it every year to assemble gingerbread houses and it has always held. Ignore whatever icing comes in the kit or just use it as a decoration.

I haven't seen any gingerbread houses yet though.

Lots of places sell them so they're around

It might be a bit early

Thanks, everyone.

Will definitely check out the edible glue, as you’re right, the icing that comes in the packs is utterly dreadful!

Do you ever actually eat it? I think of it more as a decorate piece, it sits out for a good week or so, and would have no qualms about using PVA to hold the thing together. The kids can eat sweets as they decorate and we sometimes have a couple of gingerbread people standing out front which they eat later.

M ans s have flat pack ones. We have done them before from there. Usually stay together if somewhat lop sided with a gap in the roof. It adds character, the kids don't care. Ours very much gets eaten, Usually from day after it's made.
