Did I imagine that the links for the secret Santa chocolate were on here? The ones to try to get the bar sent to someone? I did one each for DC and the magic of wondering who it was from is something that has stuck with them!

I'm intrigued...

Dogmatix34 · 12/11/2023 09:27

I totally ignored all the white fox hoody suggestions but have now found out my DD wants one. What was the offer please?

20% if you sign up as a new customer. They have had a lot of 30% off sales recently and would expect more of them for Black Friday and Christmas. However, the XS/S go out of stock very very quickly so if you want that size in a specific colour I would personally take the 20% and get it when it’s in stock

Theacademicswife · 12/11/2023 10:09

@Christmasmcchristmasface John Lewis have up to 20% off homeware and selected women's fashion. I'm not sure if your items are included.

@XmasShoppingsister thank you for putting together the Oodie list.

Redcherries · 12/11/2023 10:15

I don’t know if anybody else has replied because I wanted to post without losing your post!

Aldi had quite a few sets yesterday in the aisle of random.

Worriedmum42 · 12/11/2023 09:36

If you sign up you get 20% off but postage is £6 on top.
I have been giving this so much thought because I've read so many different things about sizing and returns.
Apparently the return takes ages and you pay postage to send back to Australia plus then get a credit note.
Sizing is big from what I have read so I've hit a stumbling block and haven't made up my mind just yet.

Sizing is big. I originally bought my size 10/12 daughter a medium/large but it was way too big. However was a lot of hassle to return and, as they have to be shipped and are expensive, resale is easy. I put it on marketplace and was gone within an hour for the price I paid (20% off plus postage)
It was then 30% off so bought 3 s/m ones (and a t shirt) to get free postage. Have given DD one now which fits perfectly (still big but that’s the style), put one aside (with the t shirt) for Christmas and sold the other one instantly for 10% off full price (so a bargain still for someone but extra profit for me)
They are great quality and very popular amongst teens so I would go for it!

Worriedmum42 · 12/11/2023 10:27

Thanks Littlemousewithclogson

This is really helpful in my deliberations as my dd is 10/12 size and had originally said she thought she'd need a M/L - after reading about them I was thinking it would be way too big.
I had seen people selling too and someone had put some really helpful info on vinted about the sizing but then that one was sold!

Runforwine · 12/11/2023 10:27

Tokyolaundry have a flash sale on there mens clothing up to 60% off plus an extra 10% with the code EXTRA

hby9628 · 12/11/2023 10:34

White fox hoodies are big! I got my DD the M/L and it would easy fit a 16. She's a 10/12 and needs the next size down really.
I've just sold it on Vinted rather than return. She's asked for a different hoodie actually do not sure I'll bother with another WF unless they have some good bargains. It was lovely quality so I might hold off for her birthday in feb instead.

Dogmatix34 · 12/11/2023 10:38

Thank you @Worriedmum42 I'll have to give it some thought too

Magik01 · 12/11/2023 10:51

Do Fitbits tend to go down in Black Friday? DH had decided he wants something to track us heart rate, any suggestions which is best? Never brought one before so I’m clueless about it! I did suggest an Apple Watch but it was a hard no to that.

I’ve just bought the kind patches - love the idea - thank you.

Has anyone seen any bargain under eye patches? Haven’t really got much of a clue about them but dd would love some

Thelifeofawife · 12/11/2023 11:20

Thank you for the Oodie tip, just ordered a couple and have my eye on a couple more

shinny · 12/11/2023 11:23

Thank you so much for the Oodie info - I have just ordered 2. Got DD one from Dunelm a couple of years ago but she tried her friends real one on and said it’s amazing.

Ive bought these cones for DH who is a bit fire obsessed & v hard to buy for. I got on Amazon for £15 but Lakeland is same price. You throw on the fire and they change colour so it’s quite fun.

VeruccaSalty · 12/11/2023 11:34

Just a note on the cheap Oodies, i bought the Star Wars and Winne the pooh one from five pounds stuff and they were not real ones, in my opinion. Thinner material and labelled 'made in china'. They were also wrinkly in a way that the ones from the store just dont get. Was still fine to gift because they were for kids but just a warning that they may not all be oodies, especially the ones that match non-uk patterns

WithIcePlease · 12/11/2023 11:50

@ThreeRingCircus thank you for Tisserand things from H and B
Also half a rice pillow spray

Karlkennedyslovechild · 12/11/2023 11:57

@Magik01 Fitbits do tend to get reduced for Black friday. I bought DM one a couple of years ago

paintyhands · 12/11/2023 12:02

21% off £40 or £5 off £20 if you sign up to the newsletter at Chococo - I’ve never used them but some nice looking chocolate gifts.

Can anyone remind me if there were cheaper versions of the Victoria’s Secret striped satin shorts pyjamas around? We now have a request for these!

Does anyone have a money off Argos code that they could donate to me? I’m about to put through a big order! Thank you.

Changingagain · 12/11/2023 12:45

@Magik01 I can't comment on what's best as I've only used fitbits but yes, they always seem to have black Friday offers both on Amazon and direct.

chocolateisavegetable · 12/11/2023 12:54

I’ve just received the Nivea advent calendar and am really pleased with it - packaging is so pretty and it’s a very good size. I first mentioned it when Argos were cheaper than Amazon, but Amazon have now also brought it down to £25

Vebrithien · 12/11/2023 13:01

Lots and lots of mint Terry's oranges in B&M this morning (£1.50).

Plus, they are the only place I have found suction hooks, this year, for attaching lights to windows (£2.50 for 40)

Home Bargains had iced gingerbread mug toppers (99p) and snowmen or polar bear marshmallow hot chocolate floats (99p).

Matalan has between 10 and 20% off of all their Christmas things, and many toys, in store today.

And DS (3) is currently soo, soooo happy with his 1 foot tall candy cane decoration 😆

fishfingersandchipsagain · 12/11/2023 13:04

I misremembered the size of the “giant” Cadbury’s Dairy Milk. I am sure I remembered them being huge - like A2 sheet of paper sized. This years one just arrived (not a bargain) and I had to check my order history from last year to make sure I hadn’t mis-ordered.

Also - don’t order bargains without wearing glasses! The massively bargainous £22 case of Pinot Noir turned out to actually be Pinot Grigio 🙄We don’t drink white wine.

Add to that the fact that SIL has decided we are not doing presents this year … after the return window closed on her and her kids gifts … and I’m not doing so well for bargains this year!

deeplybaffled · 12/11/2023 09:35

@Elpheba - I would probably be interested if@Notherereally1 isnt?

The otter one is the one I already have, but thank you @Elpheba 😊
