Please can anyone recommend a box/set of Japanese sweets? Preferably available on Amazon.

DD (10) has asked for some but there seems to be so many options and I don't have a clue what any of them are.

Is there a kenji store near you? We went in one last week. They are fairly reasonably priced. Quite a few items gone on ds's Xmas wishlist.
Good deals on food and drink items.
Lots 3 for £5

Perhaps red bean paste mochi? You can get fresh ones that need to be chilled, but the shelf stable ones are fine: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Japanese-Style-Mochi-Yuki-Love/dp/B009I0MSTO

Mochi is basically rice that's been pounded into gloop, which tastes nicer than it sounds! It has a chewy, marshmallowy texture, without being as sickeningly sweet. Like marshmallows, it can be a choke hazard for anyone with chewing difficulties, so be cautious if that applies. The red bean paste is sweetened, mushed up beans that acts sort of like a jam in the middle.

Alternatively you can get Pocky, which are basically just iced, stick-shaped biscuits: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Pocky-HAPPY-PACK-packs-Strawberry/dp/B097KHD81J

You can find them in bigger supermarkets too, rebranded locally as "Mikado":

Lastly there's Konpeito, that are just little star shapes of colourful, hard sugar, like a stick of rock:

They do Kit Kats on Amazon that come in a range of weird and wonderful flavours. A search for Japanese Kit Kats will bring them up. They’re not particularly cheap but always go down really well.

No Kenji store nearby unfortunately.

That's great @Spirael thank you so much, I will take a look at those. She did mention mochi in particular and another one, I think it was danjo.

Oooh @Spirael I has no idea Mikado we’re rebranded Pocky - I always used to shun Mikado as not being ‘proper’ Pocky! 😂

try Tokyo Toys - they usually do a good selection of Pocky or Panda type goodies
