I’ve broken into the rum balls already

I hadn’t seen them for years and happened to spot them in Home Bargains Christmas sweets section. They’ve barely sat in my cupboard 24 hours before I caved.

I don’t buy much in the way of Christmas stuff anyway but I definitely don’t buy it before Christmas week!

The brand is called Mieszko cherry liquor chocolates. A firm favourite in this house.

I like those little marzipan logs in Aldi or Lidl that come in a multipack. And the discs of marzipan with cherry brandy or rum or apricot in the middle and dark chocolate on the outside. Anyone seen these in the wild yet?

M&S have some lovely Irish Cream Liquer truffles, I've only eaten 2 boxes so far 😂

Exactly why I don't buy any Christmas treats in advance.

I bought a bag of pfeffernusser ( I think that's how you spell it) to take for a snack on the train when we go on holiday, do now I need to buy more.
