Anyone tried Marron glacé?

I was watching a Christmas food show which featured Marron glacé and I’m intrigued to try.

Anyone tried these? They’re quite expensive so I’m going to try find a place that sells them individually as I just want to try one (London based, I’m thinking fortnums may sell individually?)

I still remember a Mont Blanc I had in Paris 40 years ago. Tried to make t several times-couldn't get it even close!

I love them! Waitrose tend to sell them at Christmas x

@CurlewKate is the montblanc that tart with chestnut puree? I think I’ve made that before and it’s delicious
