Fake tree suggestions

Hi all, we've always had a real tree before, but house situation and travel in December means it won't be safe from the cats!

So have the mad idea that we can have a fake tree on one of those wheeled plant holders to lock away the tree whilst we're away...

It sounds mad now I've written it down 🤣

But does anyone have any recommendations please? Was in John Lewis and fell in love with a couple but they were £200 for a 6ft tree... is thst what I should be expecting to pay for a decent one? Going fowards the fake tree will have a home in the home office, so it's not just for one year but also won't be the main tree to go completely mad on!

Argos has a 20% off trees sale ending today and I have my eye on the habitat mixed tip natural upswept tree. Comes in 6 & 7ft around £100ish. Has amazing reviews which all say it looks very realistic so I’ll probably get the 7ft today. Lots of pictures in the reviews to look at

We've had a real tree for the past few years but we've finally admitted defeat due to our various medical problems - getting last year's tree put up honestly nearly finished us off! Much as I was lusting after the comparative realism of a Balsam Hill tree I could not justify the price. I have pushed the boat out a bit, on the basis it's going to last for years, and I bought this tree:

I paid extra to get pre-lit for the convenience, but it's available unlit a bit cheaper here:

We've had a 'test run' at putting it together when it arrived to check all the lights work and it seems really easy, it's in three sections. I'm very happy with it.

The 6ft Pre-lit Ultra Mountain Pine

*OUR MD’s FAVOURITE!* With a classic upturned shape and incorporating super lifelike PE plastic moulded branch tips, we love the final look of this 6ft pre-lit Christmas tree. As seen on TV, the Pre-Lit Ultra Mountain Pine's curved outer branches not...
