Christmas tree

I'm looking for an artificial Christmas tree. About 7ft. I'd like one quite bushy but also life like. I've been buying real and the price is creepin up and they haven't been that great in recent years. I've looked at balsam hill but they are out of my budget at the moment.
Any suggestions?

We have this one and it’s beautifullll, everyone comments on it that sees it.
we did buy it around 6 years ago now when it was much cheaper but still amazing for its price

I'm on Christmas number 6 with mine and it looks as good as new. Hasn't aged aswell. But, if I could buy again I'd get the BH Nordman, it was out of at the time. My Fraser Fir is still Beaut-I-Ful!

We have a BH Fraser as our main tree (7’) , it must be at least 6/7 by now and looks as good as the day it first went up . I’m counting the days until it goes up .

I know it’s really hard to wait but if you put the money aby now you’ll get a much nicer tree for the same cost and get to appreciate it for years and years to come.

We bought ours for a third of its rrp in a closing down sale after Christmas - it was a very frugal January because we hadn’t budgeted for it, but it was too fabulous a bargain to pass by. Fortunately we were still in the honeymoon phase and dh was indulgent because I know exactly what he’d say now 🤣

I have one from the White Company (as a second tree, I do love the real tree for my living room) which is few years old and it’s still very pretty.

I think the quality of artificial trees has improved significantly and there isn’t as much gap between high end and likes or Tesco or Argos.

chuffachuffchuff · 04/11/2023 17:36

I've just managed to save a lot of money on something I needed to buy so im thinking the extra could go towards a BH one!
Not sure what size to get or which style. But still looking at the ones on white stores.

Look at Christmas Tree World as well. The Ultra Mountain Pine gets very good reviews on here.

DahliaJ · 04/11/2023 20:39

There are some BH trees, New and preloved on eBay. Worth a look especially preloved if they last as well as people say.

chuffachuffchuff · 04/11/2023 20:52

@Motherhubbardscupboard I did look at christmastreeworld in the week actually. The reviews for them were really good.

Those with a BH tree, I've found one I like but it's not one of the "most realistic" does anyone have one like that and it still looks good?

I’ve got three BH trees, the oldest one is 15 years old and still going strong. I wouldn’t buy anything else and I’d wait for the sales if I had to.

Re price point, I paid £179 for a Silverado slim 7ft at the beginning of October. I prefer unlit as I’ve got some really traditional lights I like to use. One of my trees is pre lit but it’s the Alpine one and you can see a lot of wires.

Not sure OP, mine are all the ‘most realistic’ ones.

EveWinter · 11/11/2023 10:27

just Looking at the price of the tree I bought five weeks ago for £179, it’s now twice the price 😱.

I’d wait/make do if you can …. I’m far too tight to spend that sort of cash, but that’s probably just me. But the price will come down.

AnneEyhtMeyer · 11/11/2023 11:35

The love for BH trees here has made me feel so much better about spending £500 on a 6' pre-lit Nordman last night! They've got a sale on this weekend and a further 15% off if you sign up for their emails. I'm not going to be able to resist putting it up as soon as it arrives.

Inyourwildestdreams · 11/11/2023 12:10

@chuffachuffchuff What one is it you’re looking at? 😊

I finally bought a Vermont White Spruce last year after trying to decide for years if I could justify BH prices. I don’t regret it one bit 😍

I have the ultra pine tree from Christmas tree world . It’s very realistic and they often have sales .

Inyourwildestdreams · 11/11/2023 19:06

@chuffachuffchuff Go for it 😊 you won’t be disappointed. Did you see all the customers pictures if you scroll to the bottom of the page?
That’s actually the other one we were looking at. It took me ages to pick between that and the Vermont White 😊

chuffachuffchuff · 11/11/2023 21:31

@Inyourwildestdreams hubby has said go for it as we've saved money on something else we desperately needed!

Anyone else got a discount code? The one further up has expired.
