Advent calendar?

Anyone buying one? I don’t want lots of tat but like the idea of one for me. To cheer me through December!

I'm thinking of getting one of the ones with different little bottles of rum or gin behind each door or one that has different jams, preserves...etc like the one from Bonne Maman

Kids will be getting normal chocolate ones as that's what they want

Ah ignore the gin one then, there's some pretty good beauty ones around this year as well as skincare and candles, I've also seen a book one but it's rather pricy

Have gone for Bonne Maman again, just a little pot of joy in the morning to enjoy at breakfast. There's a wee knife in with it this year, last year was a spoon.

I love Bonne Maman, their Intense Raspberry Jam is insanely good.
We usually get a Lindt bunny one each. Quite tempted to buy my husband a mince pie one as I can't stand the damn things.

Cheese geek. Lovely cheese ,crackers and chutney behind the windows.

Can’t have chocolate anymore, don’t drink, don’t take coffee beauty products wasted on me, and the cheese one was a disappointment last year.
I’m considering one of the puzzle ones.

I bought myself the M&S beauty one at the weekend. Very much looking forward to opening it! Not had anything more than a chocolate one before.

I'm looking for something interesting too. I've had a jam one before, don't really want chocolate, wouldn't want beauty products or candles. I've seen the jigsaw puzzle ones, does anyone else have any good suggestions?

I've just seen an advert for a flapjack advent calendar which has me tempted.

I bought myself the Emma Bridgewater advent tins last year and just looking at them makes me happy! Sad I know…
This year I’m thinking of doing some kind of family thing with the tins- maybe a wee notes with “trip to local garden centre for hot choc” or “walk round the neighbourhood to see the lights” or even panto tickets or similar… maybe some thoughtful stuff like choosing a charity to buy for or going shopping for food bank donations etc…

Oooh, can you remember the name of them, or have a link please?

Well google has shown me Love Honey advent calanders , stationary (sp) ones and mince pie ones!

I would have got the paperchase one, I really enjoyed it last year. I’ve bought a tealight one but it’s not quite the same.

My son has Joe & Steph's, there was one flavour he didn't like so I had it, was nice. I think it was banoffi.
