Christmas magazines…

Tried a few different shops and haven’t seen any of the mainstream Christmas magazines yet… Ideal Home, Good Housekeeping etc.

Anyone else had any luck? I’ve looked online and can see the December covers so thought they’d be in the shops now

Good Housekeeping is usually out around Guy Fawkes night time
i have a subscription so I’m wondering if mine will be a day or so earlier?

No help on the others, I only buy the GH

I've had my Good Housekeeping one for weeks

Is that the Get Ahead one , recipes and planning or the regular magazine?

I bought Good Housekeeping's Christmas edition in Lidl yesterday.

Yeah Good Housekeeping is out, I read it on Readly. It has Mary Berry on the cover. (Couldn't get a more festive name)

I have a shedload of things too do next week , declutter, tidy, dentist appointment, and fitting in two weeks worth of Eastenders so. When my magazine comes through I’ll need to hide it 😏

Thanks all. Whilst I was looking for the Christmas magazines online, I found that my local library uses the Libby app… so I can get GH and W&H both online for free 👏😊 Looks like Ideal Home gets released 1st Nov

I've had Red today too. Have a subscription though.

This is exciting! I know they are getting expensive and some people think samey but this is one of my guilt free treats, getting a pile of Christmas magazines 😂🎅

Ooh I'm going to look into this for Woman and Home. I don't think I could give up my physical version of GH 🎅

Was very pleased to find GH in the shop. Boring cover though, I feel like it’s Mary Berry every year. (I know it isn’t really.)

I like the cover this year. The past couple of years have been a tree, a dog , a roaring fire and one/two beautifully dressed children

Before that it was Nigella Lawson in a party dress or Lorraine Kelly or Twiggy

Paul Hollywood on the cover next year would be nice but I think I’m in a minority of 1.
Or possibly 2 if you include Mr Hollywood

Yup! Got a couple from M&S the other day (why - it's always the same stuff inside Year after year)! I've seen them weeks ago at Tesco too but managed to resist them.

They are very samey year after year by I get FOMO so I want at least the Good Housekeeping.
What irritates me is when the photos of the served up food is on rough looking ovenware and plates and tarnished cutlery that you’d use to spoon out your dogs food .
There’s rustic and there’s manky.
Neither has a place on thee Christmas table

@70isaLimitNotaTarget I feel the same about both the past covers with the tree and children every year, being samey but still needing to get Good Housekeeping every year. 🎅

Its tradition to get a GH with Mary Berry or Nigella or someone similar on the cover!
And for me, Red magazine, full of overpriced Christmas presents that I'm convinced no one actually buys!

I have the GH one, I have a subscription. Going to buy the Woman and home one, and possibly the Country Living one.

Are these worth it ? Which one would people recommend the most please, esp. for recipes?

If you particularly want recipes, GH do a separate Christmas food magazine.
