White fruit cake

I’d like to bake a white fruit cake this year (pale cake with golden raisins, candied peel and glace cherries). There are only a few recipes on line and none have reviews that I can see. Does anyone have a nice, reliable recipe that they have actually used. I remember having it one year when I was a young child but it is not really a “thing” any more (maybe it never was)!

It looks a bit like; colour is right, but it’s a more celebratory cake, studded with pale glacé and crystallised fruits. There are a couple of US recipes I’ve found. But no reviews. Thanks for looking.

Is a Genoa Cake like a Madeira Cake.

I use an adaptation of the Delia cake recipe but only sultanas, no currants or raisins. White caster sugar. Amerretto to soak. Almonds. Cherries. grated orange and lemon rind. I could really just do a Madeira cake and add things as it’s a fairly robust cake

I did overcook it last year even though I checked it at least 30 minutes ahead of time . Wrapping and lining the tin to protect the cake and I think I’ll put some paper on the top with a hole in it

if I do it right it’s pretty pale
