I can think of lots of things to get my DD for Christmas, but I can’t think of a ‘main’ present for her.

she likes music, art, skincare, books,TikTok trends.

I would really appreciate any suggestions!

thanks

Air Jordans/concert tickets/blankets/joggers/north face jackets always go down well in our house. As they’ll all have 18th this year, what about a photo printing subscription so she has stuff to put on uni walls etc? I also make an advent calendar for DD every year and put in the pockets of a shop-bought advent wall hanger things I know she’ll love/need like socks, makeup, hair ties, knickers etc.

I've given festival ticket (,or promise of one) and festival bits for Christmas (dry shampoo etc.)
Or if they need it camping kit - small mat, sleeping bag, tent, chair, fairy lights, etc.

Driving lessons
Theatre tickets
Contribution to festival
Rucksack
Useful things for future eg air fryer
Coffee machine or velvetiser
Really cosy blanket that she can take to uni
Tickets for travel
Pay for premiere inn , or similar, for her and friend to go to London for the night
A trip to shopping centre to buy an amount of clothes ... you could say up to £150 .00 or whatever your budget is

What about a trip to the theatre? or a nice afternoon tea? Pamper Spa day? Trip to a local cat cafe (if she likes cats) with afternoon tea.

My 18 year old dd getting tickets to a show in the west end that she really wants to see and a night in a hotel.

There are some really nice art subscription boxes out there.

If she’s arty what about a nice camera? Got one for my DD for her 18th & it’s been used loads (she has similar interests to your DD)

MrsSkylerWhite · 21/10/2023 12:56

We ask what they want. Then a few little surprises to unwrap.

What about a 12 month advent we’re you have things you can do together or a gift etc for each month ie jan a meal out to favourite place, feb a book of their choice, march theatre tickets, April trip to a gallery, day out somewhere etc for some examples. When all added together it could be a main present and something you could enjoy too :)

If she likes jewellery a Tiffany bean necklace is lovely or their classic heart tag bracelet- I was given one at 25 and still wearing it 20 yrs later. An experience gift voucher? Does she have a hood friend who you can ask for ideas? Or adk
your daughter to give you a list of 6 things amd you choose 1 thing- that way it’s still a bit of a surprise

doubleshotcappuccino · 21/10/2023 15:59

Tickets for a gig or show?
My 19 year old has just started going to live music gigs so I will probably put money towards one of them (not Taylor swift, she paid for that herself).

I will probably get her some clothes and a bag (she’s a bit quirky so maybe loungefly or similar) and then a hamper of her favourite snacks to take back to uni.

rainbowsparkle28 · 21/10/2023 22:20

Jewellery - something nice and special. I got a lovely Sapphire ring for my 18th and am still wearing it as I type, more than a decade later. Something that can be kept forever and meaningful and is going to last longer than vouchers, cash, handbag etc.

Fifireee · 21/10/2023 22:23

Membership to the Tate?

Namenotimportant85 · 23/10/2023 13:41

My 17 year old daughter has asked for a pair of platform doc martens with the zips. also som over the ear headphones

Tabbytabs · 24/10/2023 16:49

For Christmas I have paid for my 18yo dd and me to stay in a hotel when we got to a gig next year. She got the tickets for my present and I’m paying for the hotel. I always get her similar things. She has so much stuff that I prefer to get her tickets. She has loads of pairs of dms, so if I were to buy her something physical I’d get her another pair of the platform ones in a different colour or maybe some more New Rocks or Buffalos.

scottishGirl · 24/10/2023 19:10

Concert tickets? Spa voucher for a facial if she is into skin care ?
