Can anyone recommend somewhere I can order a selection of cheese online for Christmas? I want really lovely cheese but might not get time to go to Borough Market this year like I normally do. Thanks!

We've tried several and now get a box from Paxton and Whitfield each month and it is amazing. By far the beat one we've tried.

Definitely The Fine Cheese Co.

Our local cheese shop is excellent, and they deliver country-wide:

cheese shed. Ive ordered about 3 times. Fantastic cheeses, wrapped in wax paper, in a nice box and comes with a cheese menu.

L'affinage - my favourite& probably my first go to for online cheese. lovely shop in Bristol but we buy from them online (good selection & well wrapped & always good)

Pong - I think used to be better than it is now but still good

The great British charcuterie company - nice if you want to have a selection of meat & cheese

Cheese Shop Nantwich - good selection that changes all the time https://www.cheeseshopnantwich.co.uk

I use The Cheese Society for online orders: https://www.thecheesesociety.co.uk/

They're a shop in Lincoln but I'm nowhere near there and the online ordering has always been excellent. It comes well packaged and wrapped in wax paper, their Delice de Bourgogne is my absolute favourite.

Friend of mine who is a real gourmet uses The FIne CHeese company and his Christmas cheese boards are second to none.

I have just ordered something from them (although I am definitely not a gourmet). I was quite impressed:

Paxton and Whitfield here as well - I've been so impressed with every box we've had so far.

Appreciating all these recommendations.

Wherever you order from, if you're giving as a gift please don't do what my lovely Nan did for my husband a couple of years ago...

Lovingly curated box of cheese and various little jars of chutneys. Wrapped. Under the tree. Next to the radiator. He opened a box of stinky fondue.

Was bloody funny though.

For reasons that are too tedious to go into, can anyone recommend a pasteurized cheeseboard supplier? Thank you!

I was once sent a gift set with a whole camembert in it. I was out when they tried to deliver and never got the 'missed you' card.

About a week later the sender asked if I got their gift. I dashed to the local post office centre to be met by the filthiest look and the parcel flung at me, with no need for proof of ID. 😂

Not Pong!!

I used to have a subscription. They never got my likes and dislikes right. For 12 months! Despite telling, often!

Loving mulling over these recommendations- thank you.

As some have asked, it's not for a gift - it's for us to eat over Christmas
