Good quality alternative to Oodies?

Kellioo · 13/10/2023 09:58

Has anyone found a good quality alternative, that's equally as thick and luxurious to an Oodie? I've tried a couple of others but been disappointed in the quality.

Maybe I just need to bite the bullet!

Next’s own label ones are good and they have some great designs this year.

kkr168 · 13/10/2023 13:13

Seen this website mentioned a lot as selling genuine oodies for bargain prices, I've not ordered myself

I bought this one last winter off Amazon and it is lovely and warm. It was recommended on here and is so warm I sometimes have to take it off. It washes like a rag too - no fuss.

I have a Kuddly and like it very much.

Kellioo · 13/10/2023 17:52

Thanks very much, I'll have a look at them all.

Kuddly are as good as oodie. I got 4 last year for £99.

melissasummerfield · 13/10/2023 20:42

snuggz ! We all have one and they are so warm, my dc wear them all the time.

soupweather · 13/10/2023 21:11

IMO, there is no equivalent to an Oodie. They are far, far superior. We have Oodies, Primark and Kuddly in our house. None compare to the Oodie.

Ovaltiner · 13/10/2023 21:14

Whereas, proving that everyone is different, my offspring have all spurned their oodies since discovering primark's version (even autistic DD who is a sucker for soft clothing). We found that they lost the softness after washing (despite following the instructions to the letter). But the standout favourite is from Dunelm. (Needless to say, this only became clear after I'd bought 4 oodies 🙄).

I bought the Sienna version from Amazon last year for me, my son and his girlfriend. We live in them in the winter and they wash/dry really well. Cheap bit decent quality.

Minttee · 14/10/2023 08:30

I bought Sienna for my son but he thought it was too thin so gave it to me. It's fine but he bought the bedsure one from Amazon, not very expensive around £20 but so thick and definitely warmer than Sienna. My dd has a Dunnes one which is also quite thick, Bedsure one is winner in this house.

Has anyone bought from theplushy.co or Super Hoodie? Been looking at their personalised ones but I don't know of anybody who has used them before!

Flyawaywithme · 14/10/2023 09:09

I have an oodie and got my son a kuddly last year because I couldn’t find an oodie for him. The kuddly is just as warm as the oodie and has the pocket higher up which is more handy- it’s too low down on the oodie.

LaundrySorter · 14/10/2023 09:20

We all have these op. They're £12.99. So far we've bad them nearly 3 years and still going strong. They're really good quality, very thick and wash and tumble very well.

Dunnes stores - their an Irish brand but ship to UK, I got one about two years ago and still in great condition usually £15/£20 for an adult one!

Kellioo · 14/10/2023 13:07

Thank you, really helps to have real reviews!

I've read consistently good things about the Dunelm one, so planning to get one for Christmas (to me, from me Grin)

GettingStuffed · 14/10/2023 20:10

I have a kuddly for when it's really cold and my Primark one that I'm currently wearing.

NameChange30 · 14/10/2023 20:22

I have a Snugsie hoodie (silentnight), it's very soft, thick and warm. I don't have an Oodie to compare it to but I love it!

Looks like it's £25 atm

sellote · 15/10/2023 08:09

I find I rarely wear my oodie because it’s too thick and warm! So I’m on the lookout for a thinner version for all but the very coldest days.

daisydalrymple · 15/10/2023 17:37

M&S have lovely designs, and theirs are slightly thinner, for those looking for them not quite as warm.
I have one by George, Asda and it’s incredibly luxurious. DD has a sienna from Amazon, again lovely.

TicTac80 · 15/10/2023 17:41

We have the Kuddly ones. I have never worn an Oodie, but my Kuddly is amazing

YoongiMarryMe · 15/10/2023 19:04

We have Primark ones and they’re great. They cost £20 which is a damn sight cheaper than an Oodie. I’ve no double the Oodie is better quality but not enough better for me to fork out the extra ££!

Hmmthatsgoodchicken · 15/10/2023 21:04

Oodie are on sale at the moment from £53.

When dd got hers 3 years ago it was £80 and I was like 😬 but she lives in it from about Oct until march.

Isitthathardtobekind · 15/10/2023 21:07

My husband got me an ‘ony’ from John Lewis. I’ve never had an oodie to compare it to, but it’s good and thick!
