I get my children (7&5) a new teddy to cuddle every Christmas Eve. The last couple of years I've got them from Disney store (Minnie and Mickey Mouse the the year in the foot) and Hamley's. I haven't seen anything that grabs me this year, anyone have any suggestions? Thank you!

I am planning on getting my ds who is 3 one of the jelly cat teddies this year as he loves soft toys. Have you looked at build a bear ?

Hibernatalie · 10/10/2023 19:13

Oh yes jellycat are lovely.

They do have a couple of builld-a-bear but they never seem to be the favourites...

What about a squishmallow?

GoodVibesHere · 10/10/2023 19:14

How about one of those teddies you warm in the microwave

Hibernatalie · 10/10/2023 19:14

I did think of Squishmallows but they aren't that interested in them. I think they'd prefer more classic animal ones.

Harrods Christmas bears are lovely OP! They bring out a new one each year. I give them as first Christmas gifts quite often.

A big Hugfun one? 53 inches. They are lovely!

Kenji plushies are very cute they do have cats and dogs and cute characters.
Jelly cat bunnies in all the lovely colours. I got my DD's a dusky pink and a blue one that they love.

What about something like this… they’re also weighted which many children find calming when cuddled. Alternatively a stuffed version of their favourite animal?

Have you felt them though? My teen asked for one and I had no intention of getting him one until I picked one up...

Last year we got each DD a Christmas themed Beanie Boo. These are the ones they got.

Have a look at Sigikid Beasts , we have paradise Paul and he is truly fabulous.

Blessedbethefruitz · 11/10/2023 18:06

What are their interests? Ds4 is having a giant green mario star this year (he's getting the 3d world game too), dd1 is having a rag doll Anna to match her elsa. I like a stocking stuffy :)

Hibernatalie · 11/10/2023 20:21

So many lovely ideas thank you all.

A Squishmallow is definitely on my list btw!

What a sweet tradition! If you're open to something unique, local markets often have handmade gems. My kids adore the handmade bears I found last year. However, they like their teddy plushies from bubu dudu more. Happy teddy hunting!

Thank you!
I ended up getting them a lion and a bunny from m&S that they'll love - will definitely bear that in mind for next year though.
