If he drinks alcohol you can soak various fruits and spices in it .

What about a little hamper with all his favourite snacks, and you can even make little movie tickets with say his favourite netflix movie. Popcorn, choc, a nice drink.

Oooh homemade flavoured alcohol is a great idea thank you!! Also love the hamper idea with vouchers!!

Does your DH like a particular football club or celebrity?
I once contacted a celeb agent for an autograph, I was sent a signed postcard which I framed for DH.

I have also done photo calendars which have been well received. Can usually get these from Photobox/Snapfish/Boots/Funkypigeon for half price on the run up to Xmas (approx £12 for a desktop one).

Other inexpensive but meaningful gifts I have bought are a keyring with our photo and wedding anniversary date and wallet card with a photo of us on.

A Zara aftershave? Some more special than usual snacks?

This is very niche, but I made my son and his partner (both foodies) home made corned beef.

A framed pic with all his fav bits in so it's literally his likes in a frame.
Eg. Pic of family,
fav sweet/ choc/ beer label wrapper,
badge of fav sports team,
image of fav singer with fancy handwritten fav lyrics from fav song,
fav top getting old? Use a button, zip pull or pocket from it,
Cd sleeve cover
Pic of important place (marriage place/ where you met)
Sstar sign symbol

You can make a picture calendar with family photos or make a custom design t-shirt (hoodie) for him.

If he's into tech, then things llike a good mouse or a portable charger might be great ideas. Software subscriptions work fine, too, could be image restoration programs or video software or audio making programs etc, depending on his interests.

Something related to the shows he likes or his favorite movies, like keychains, pin sets, stuff like that. You can even create a photo montage of him as one of the characters from his favorite game or movie, basically inserting him into the scene. Then print it out and frame!

Get some bottles of his favourite beer and turn them into "reinbeer". can get eyes/nose/pipecleaners from the works or even Asda

One year I picked out 20 or so photos from my phone - us, the kids, the dogs, nice meals we'd had, holidays, etc - got them printed as tiny passport size prints and pinned them to a little cork board which he has propped up by his bed. A year of us.

I got my husband a Christmas card with a slightly naughty but meaningful-to-us poem on it, made up for me by a calligrapher I found on Etsy. I gave it to him at the beginning of a sexy Christmas Eve together.

I then gave him a second hand anthology by the same poet (with the poem in) as a Christmas present the following morning. Under £15 all in, and certainly thoughtful!

Needmorelego · 16/10/2023 10:51

Depends what he is into.
Most of the men I know would be happy with a £15 Lego set (like a Speed Champions car or something), a paperback book and a chocolate Santa.

Needmorelego · 16/10/2023 10:53

Also "very budget" kinda makes me laugh. £25 for a gift for my husband is just normal - not budget at all 😂
