Christmas for one from Ocado

I get to spend Christmas alone this year and so have nabbed an Ocado slot for 23rd.

Don’t usually bother as DH would normally do the main shop, while I sort meat out from farmison.

So, what shall I treat myself to?

I really am done with cooking big labour intensive meals.

Ready meals? Easy-cook, pre-prepped stuff and easy, snacky, fancy food I wouldn’t normally choose is on the cards. But it all seems to be ‘party-sized’ packs!

I like my food, but this seems excessive, even for Christmas!

Back after a manic couple of days - solo Christmas is definitely sounding even more fabulous right now! Thank you so much for the inspiration.

I haven’t done a ‘real’ Christmas dinner for years - decades, even. Steak for the past few years. Lamb before that. This year I can’t even be arsed to turn the hob on, so ‘picky bits’ (sorry!) will be the order of the day. Currently eyeing up all kinds of prawn things.

oooh I did this last year and thoroughly recommend. I got selection boxes of travel sized fancy shower gels and perfume etc which have been lovely to sample throughout the year.

Yeah, my memory is so dire, I’ll forget I’ve bought them and it will a lovely surprise 😂
