Stocking ideas for a tween boy

My teenage daughters stocking is soooo easy. I am however really stuck for my 12 year old boy. He's quite grown up, loves football, likes fashion (unfortunately for me, nothing cheap!). Beyond some sprays etc, what the hell can I put in it? I've always loved doing stocking and come up with good ideas, but really struggling. All ideas welcome!

@Neodymium what is your budget for each boy and what are their interests?

I don’t really have a budget. The pandora was $500 aud so anything up to that but doesn’t have to be that much.

id like some kind of keepsake really. Oldest is very creative likes writing drawing making movies ect. Younger is into anime and gaming. But most of the stuff they would like is big (like ds2 has a lord of the rings sword and would like more)

only thing I can think of is AirPods. But they are both abit scatterbrained and tend to lose stuff.

@Neodymium
can't you give them a 'gift voucher/promissory note' for the bigger present?

So, if you were getting them a skateboard and helmet for example, print the picture of the skateboard and put it in a card and say it's waiting at home, and give them something small related to it in the meantime....like a finger board and ramp.

They're old enough to understand what is going on and could be a good compromise.

@Neodymium what about something like this?

Kodak portable pocket projector

I’ve got my tween son:
boxers
socks
extra long charging lead
touchscreen gloves (Poundland!)
little fidget toy
tube of chocs
choc coins
shower gel
Puzzle pen thing

@00100001 thats a good idea.

@whimsical1975 that looks cool. Do you have one?

whimsical1975 · 03/10/2023 06:32

@Neodymium I don’t but when
my son, who is now 18, was a bit younger he loved gadgets and making things and he wanted a projector as so he made his own using all sorts of bits and pieces - he would have loved this (actually he’d probably still love this to be honest!). Just thought it could be used a variety of ways for different interests etc whether for art, video, gaming (you can get a tripod attachment for it etc) - also small enough to take anywhere.

If you’re happy to spend a bit, and want it to last a while, a mini drone. Dji 3 or 4 ( whatever it is now)

Can use on your holiday, and then encourage him to go outside in woods or walks with you once home to use.

Neodymium · 03/10/2023 07:36

@Caspianberg he already has a drone!

Thanks so much for these suggestions, am loving the Pop a cobs and the gaming slogan t-shirts which I think (hope) my tween will love too

Can anyone think of something ‘special’ for teen boys?

we are going to Europe for Xmas day so I need something small that I can buy and pack. The holiday is the gift I just need 1 thing to wrap up for them to open from Santa. (my daughter still believes)

problem is, Xmas is at the end of the trip so I can’t give them stuff to use for the trip. I don’t want to just give them experiences because that’s the holiday.

i have got my daughter a pandora bracelet. Looking for something equally sized for tween/teen boys. Can’t be knife/liquid ect cause travelling with hand luggage only.

Sunglasses?

Does he follow any particular players? If so, you can make him a wall calendar poster with their photos or see if there is any kind of merch related to them.

Lego christmas set could be an option

A really big box of chocolates and snacks he loves

DisruptiveCumin · 04/10/2023 10:15

Oh, and if there is a team he specifically likes you can look for the t-shirt in their colors or their uniform set of his size!
