Ocado Christmas Slots

Seem to be available for Smart Pass customers.

Just a heads up to those who like to book their slot early.

I booked mine the other day. No need to worry about stock levels. I mentioned on the other thread about Christmas slots that there are certain things I always get at Christmas but they're not currently available, e.g. satsumas, and I've never had an issue adding them later on.

Strange - last year I stayed up until midnight but could only get the 21st. This year I decided I was too tired to stay up, but when I woke up at 4.30 this morning, I got a slot for Christmas Eve!

Does anyone know whether they reserve stock of Christmas food - i.e. if I order turkey etc am I pretty much guaranteed to get it?

@chocolateisavegetable The system will register every item of your order and this request will go to the various suppliers so it’s down to what their stock availability is like as to what Ocado receive. They do also predict numbers needed to meet demand based on orders from previous years.

The fresh produce is literally distributed into the appropriate section within the warehouse the day/night it arrives at the Ocado site, so is dealt with extremely quickly.

Got the email. Went in at Midnight, plenty of slots but surprised at the number of out of stock items. Will have to remember to go back for the garnish and alcohol. First word problems.
