Got some great ideas already for Christmas including a resin kit for the craft and 9 year old who can’t decide on anything that’s suitable for “Christmas”

can anyone recommend a resin jewellery kit that’s actually good quality?

We got one from The Range @TKRedLemonade For my daughters 10th birthday a couple of months ago which was great -they had lots of sets. We also got some extra epoxy resin bottles, glitter and powdered paint to go with it. Probably about £25-30 worth and it was brilliant. My daughter loved it and despite buying extra resin, my daughter had used it all up within about 2 weeks, she loved it and made loads! I found it fun too

I make some resin things , there are lots of beginners kits on Amazon that are a really good starting point . I would just mention resin when the two parts are mixed releases toxic fumes ( which dependant on the resin type ) you can’t smell . So it’s recommended you mix and pour in a well ventilated area, preferably with a heavy duty mask . Fumes are released for approx 30 days it takes it to fully harden , even though it will seem completely cured in a day or two . The fumes are not good for animals or people. I pour outdoors and leave to harden in a spare room .

I didn’t realise this to start with as the kits don’t mention it , and only found out after I joined some Facebook resin groups .

Oh thank you both. I’ll check out the range and get some extra stuff too so - definitely thank you for the fume warning as I had no idea! I wonder will n95 masks do as we have loads of them!

My DD recently had her birthday and I bought her this resin kit. It's keyrings rather than jewellery but we've had so much fun with it and the results have been great. Looks like they do jewellery moulds too.
