Customised tree decoration

Friends of our DCs are marrying just before Christmas. DH and I will send a card and a token gift. Rather than a bottle of fizz, I thought it would be nice to give them a Christmas tree decoration with their wedding date on. I appreciate however there is a fine line between tasteful and tacky. I'm sure one year I saw something which was etched wood, which was quite classy. I'm sure there'll be something on Etsy but not finding anything just now. Maybe the search terms I'm using or perhaps it's just a little early. My next few months are written off with things I'd rather not go into so trying to sort things ahead of time.

@OMGitsnotgood on Etsy I just searched "wedding bauble" and lots come up. Do you know if they have a tree theme so you can tie into that? There are white clay discs, clear acrylic discs, actual baubles and if you put "wedding bauble wood" that brings up lots of wooden ones too. HTH.

With it being a Christmas wedding they may get several of these though. (Like baby’s first Christmas we ended up with about 6 😂).

Etsy is probably a good place as mentioned. And you probably can’t go wrong with wood (and at least it will biodegrade unlike acrylic).

Id probably opt for a card and donation to a charity close to their hearts instead but I do accept I’m more minimalist than most 😬

Lovely idea OP. I got married at Christmas a few years ago and didn't get gifted anything like this so I wouldn't be too worried about that

I got married at Christmas and got loads of personalised baubles. I also received the Swarovski tree decoration as mentioned above and loved it. We now have 2 Christmas trees, our living room tree and our "personalised" tree by our front door with all our wedding baubles on.
