My DD is starting to really experiment with makeup (she is 13). I have no clue when it comes to make up so I really need help!

I would like to buy her some good basics for Christmas. She is currently experimenting with eye liner and is wanting to try mascara.
She has good skin currently for a teen but she does have sensitive skin.
Please help a clueless mum.

I’ve Revolution, elf and MUA grow as brands that seem aimed at younger buyers (Not ever used these brands myself).
Depending on your budget Benefit is fab for any age and the packaging is really fun too. Their Bad Gal Bang mascara is excellent and I like their bronzers too and they do lovely make up kits that make fab gifts.

There will be loads of gifts coming the closer we get to Christmas. If she’s on tik tok, it’s likely she will have seen viral stuff from Elf, Made by Mitchell, B Perfect etc. I’d say wait, sit tight until Christmas boxes come out. You wouldn’t go wrong with product from Boots and Superdrug. Even a voucher to go shopping together or to let her choose if she’s seen anything on social media. My biggest tip though is to make sure she knows about skincare. Get her some to go along with any make up.

Benefit is hardly starter prices.

MeMeMe from superdrug was good, if they still do it. Used to be 3 for a fiver too I think. BarryM is great, and collection2000.

And of course, Rimmel.

ELF and Revolution. Fenty or Huda if you want more luxe.

A descent set of brushes and ring light mirror would be great gifts.

I’ve bought some elf bits for my 13 year old. Keep an eye on Amazon, they sometimes have good deals on that brand 😊

Thanks everyone! It is all helpful.

A descent set of brushes and ring light mirror would be great gifts.

Or a beauty blender washing machine or a silicone brush wash pad thing or electric one (you put brush wash & water in , insert the brush then press the button and it spins round, cleaning the brush) along with shampoo brush wash.

Those make up brush cleaner machines are very popular with that age group.
