Interesting advent calendars

Hi, I'm on the look for any unusual or interesting advent calendars that might suit by 10 and 12yo dds.

They used to have Lego or Playmobil ones when they were younger, but are less interested in toys now. In the last few years I've done crystals, stationary and funko pops.

Just wondering if anyone had seen anything good.

The bath bomb calendar from Bomb Cosmetics was excellent last year. DH had the hot chocolate one from Yarn Brew and enjoyed it. This year I want to get him a popcorn one from Joe and Seph’s.

There’s a Christmas Decorations one half price on White Stuff at the moment.

Thanks for the ideas! I love the decoration one, so cute!

These 2 calendars have gone down well with my DDs, jewellery and makeup.

My 9yo has asked for a slime one this year and & 11yo isn’t sure, likes the idea of slime, but loved the duck one she got last year ( she loves ducks), she’s also been eyeing up knitting ones.

The Exit the game escape room advent calendar was fab last year. Probably better for you older one though.

Stompythedinosaur · 06/08/2023 15:56

Thanks!

Can't you tell me about the duck advent calendar @ITSSSSCHRISTMASSS ? We have pet ducks and they are a favourite animal in our house!

A beauty calendar isn't a bad idea either. I quite fancy the escape room one for myself!

This is the duck calendar, it’s unavailable at the moment but I’m sure it will be coming back.

Dd got a Philip Jones jewellery calendar off Amazon last year. It was pretty good quality for the price and she has worn a good bit of it. I kept a pair of the earrings for myself. I saw something similar in Primark for a bit less than I paid after we’d bought it.

We had a Harry Potter stationery one the year before but it was a bit repetitive. There’s only so many erasers you can excited about.

Roger La Borde publishing company do lovely 3d card advent calendars. I don't know if they would be a bit dull for kids but I'm quite tempted to get one for myself!

I love the escape room advent calendars! Great idea

Sommerled · 19/08/2023 17:13

What ages are the Escape Room advent calendars aimed at? I can't see from the website which would be best for what age groups?

They do look good.

Random one but do they enjoy jams/marmalades? We had the Bonne Maman one last year and it was actually lovely trying a new flavour each day and you can then use the little jars for crafts or storage.

Bonne Maman jam? Fun for their toast in the morning too

We've had this. You'd only want it once, but it was great.

Home made ones, then you can really personalise them
