Aldi Christmas Eve Sale

Last year on Christmas Eve all the Christmas food was absurdly discounted- does anyone know if this is expected tomorrow? Thanks 🎄

I’ve just got back from Aldi, there are lots of things reduced already but not really much left to reduce if I’m honest, few tatty toys and books.

Yes no food left really very bare shelves, unless they restock overnight. Booths had no Turkey left either!

Iceland are advertising 50% off turkeys.

Our Aldi has pledged to give away all the remaining food to the food bank on closing.

just wondering how that works or if it’s just a publicity stunt.
I know the local ones here don’t have facilities for chilled or frozen stuff & they also were closed from yesterday right up until next Thursday.

Giggorata I do volunteer at a FB and one year Aldi did off load all their stock at the end of Christmas Eve ...... but it was a nightmare finding volunteers to pick it up, find enough freezer space etc etc ... since then we've always had to decline .

It was on the Aldi newsletter:
”We will also once again be donating surplus unsold food to local charities and foodbanks once stores close on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, as part of our long-established partnership with Neighbourly.”

Turkey crowns were 50% off in our Aldi about an hour ago.

Oh that’s a shame @Ragwort they obviously have good intentions but I didn’t know how it would work, that’s why I was asking poor @Giggorata -sorry! I was genuinely interested

I got some really good bargains in Lidl on Xmas eve last year but I went late in the day and there wasn't much to choose from. I have heard Lidl and Aldi both reduce things overnight for the next day so I might try and get there tomorrow morning, just hoping for a few nice treats and nibbles.
