Would you buy something on Amazon prime today?

DD has an inexpensive last minute request and Amazon guarantee it for tomorrow. Is it too risky or will it definitely arrive if they guarantee it??

As long as the item says dispatched by Amazon I would. I’ve ordered a few different Amazon deliveries this week, all dispatched from Amazon, and all have come on the day they have said and a few a day earlier. I ordered something last night and is out for delivery today

My delivery guy said he'll be working on christmas so I'm assuming they still deliver. It's not like the RM

I know it's not like the RM 🙄

I also know that in the past, "next day" delivery dates have skipped Christmas Day and Boxing Day.

I ordered something yesterday and it arrived today. As long as they don't go through RM (the one Amazon thing that was sent via RM never showed up) I think you're good.

As long as it is Amazon delivering. I've had problems with a couple of things on Amazon but they were being sent by the seller, one I've been waiting for 4 weeks and asked for a refund today.

I had an Amazon prime delivery on Christmas Eve last year. They are incredibly reliable.

As others have said, I find Amazon very reliable. If they say it will be there tomorrow, I’d say it will be sure for sure.

Yes, I have something due to be delivered tomorrow that I need on Christmas Day. We'll manage without it if it doesn't arrive and their returns policy is good so I'm not worried.
I would manage DD's expectations about it though, just in case. If it's late it can be a NYE present!

Order it - what have you got to lose? If you don't order it you aren't getting it anyway. If it doesn't turn up you can reject the delivery on 27th if you no longer want it.

If you are getting a delivery to home it should be ok. We have a couple of bits going to an amazon locker which have been 'out for delivery' a couple of times... but then been delayed ... I'm guessing because there are no available lockers, eg if people have not picked up parcels promptly. It includes coffee pods ... so I may have to venture to a supermarket tomorrow. Can't get through the festivities without my coffee 😁

DD's ordered a load of presents today. She was going to go shopping, but she's ill in bed, so it is a last resort!

I ordered 2 days ago, and the item which was to be delivered on 22nd came yesterday and the rest arrived today as scheduled.

Now just waiting for my Boots Click and Collect to contact me!

I ordered something at 8am this morning. It was dispatched 30 mins later and apparently will be here tomorrow.

I’d chance it but I ordered on Prime Wednesday because it said delivery today. It despatched yesterday with a delivery date of Friday 30th…

Yes, as long as it’s dispatched by Amazon, I’ve never had a missed delivery date!! They’re super reliable

Totally not amazon's fault but I went to do it about 2 hours after this thread and it was delivery by the 27th so I've missed the window- my fault for not jumping on it but oh well, they have loads already

I feel a bit stressed that Amazon isn’t now next day 😂 We see the delivery guy every day usually. I’ll miss him for the next 4 days 😆

No. For the first time they have not achieved their delivery dates with me. I had 2 parcels due yesterday which have now had the delivery date pushed to this evening and things which were meant to arrive today will be delivered tomorrow.

I'm in Central Scotland, less than 5 miles away from a distribution centre.

All my stuff has arrived on time, including 2 things today I ordered yesterday and one thing which had been pushed to the 27th but arrived today.

I ordered something yesterday that was going to arrive on Saturday on the original email , but that has arrived today .
